The Game Farm has a vast variety of activities for the whole family.
Experience wide open spaces, beautiful sunsets and view some delightful plains game. You can braai at the dam (We can supply veld braai pre-packed meals in coolers - Chops, salad and braai broodjie R250 per person - wood extra) .
The farm is full of a variety of game that can be viewed including:
Kalahari / Common / Black / White & Copper Springbuck, Impala, Common / White Blesbuck, Gemsbuck, Blackwildebees / Bluewildebees / Goldenwildebees, Eland, Kudu, Mountain / Grey & Common Reedbuck, Redhartebees, Steenbuck, Klipspringers, Fellow deer, Bontebuck, Waterbuck, Hartman Zebra and Wildboars.
NB: The game drives are self drives in your own vehicle.
The more energetic visitor can explore the game farm on mountain bike. (NB: Please bring your own bikes).

The expansive fresh-water dam offers tranquility for the fisherman.
Bring your own fishing gear to test your skills at the 2 Visgat spots.
Enjoy the open vistas on bike or foot and be lucky to spot a few plains game. We have four different trails to choose from. All different challenges to suit the advanced and the beginner rider or hiker.
Among the many different bird species are, the rare Black Eagle, the majestic Fish Eagle, the iridescent Flamingos and the Giant Kingfisher.
Depending on time of year, visitors can partake in the day to day running of the farm such as feeding the lambs, sheep herding, shearing, lucern harvesting, tractor drives, game capture and game auctions.
Eco tourism is practiced extensively on this farm and funds generated are used to improve the quantities and variety of wild life. Jakhalsdans is also part of the Northern Cape River-Rine Rabbit Conservancy.
Jakhalsdans plays host to many different events throughout the year.

Jakhalsdans Game Farm & Guesthouse is a perfect wedding venue which includes beautiful gardens, luxurious accommodation and, of course, many activities for your guests to do before the actual wedding. Please note we only supply the venue. Caterers and tent companies may be required.
The famous BMW GS Challenge was held at Jakhalsdans in 2005 with riders camping out here before taking a breathtaking (and hairy) ride across Jakhalsdans. Activities whilst on the farm include the tricky obstacle training course!
An annual event held in Loxton that is fun for all ages. Competitors test their skills at a wide range of events including horse riding, running, tug-of-war , motor cross etc. The dance is held on the farm with 400 to 500 guests attending.
